Unfortunately there isn't anything all that exciting about this Christmas post.... Don't get me wrong, it was a great Christmas, we even sneaked in an almost 2 hour nap! I would have to say that the highlight of our Holiday was eating way too much YUMMY food, with people we rather like. Therefore these pics (as you will find) mostly contain people we like, and Yummy food!
Sorry we aren't more exciting....
SAUSAGE! Three different kinds actually...
Brita frying up perfect eggs
That's Souffle Ricotta Pancakes with with Orange Maple Syrup, Sausages with Apples and Onions, and a Cinnamon Coffee Bundt Cake. We were all too fat to move for the rest of the day, hence the 2 hour nap.
Nice dishes in the sink, right?
This is a sliced acorn squash (for dinner), but it looked like a cute Christmas Tree! So I made Morgan take a picture of it....
Dinner: Rosemary Roast with Yorkshire Pudding, Green Salad of Escarole with Fennel and Goat Cheese, and of course Acorn Squash with Sage Cream. This may be the last Christmas that we venture to make a large meal for both breakfast and dinner simply because I was still full a whole day later!
I did warn my husband ahead of time that my idea of celebrating the holidays "right" was to eat GOOD food, and lots of it. Hope your Christmas was Merry and that you had, of course, lots of yummy food!
