A Lazy Weekend

That is exactly what this weekend has been. Vivienne certainly takes no breaks from being cute though! I know, cheesy, but true. Really when it comes to blogging I really just post the cutest of the most recent pictures and videos, not particular experiences, however this weekend Vivie has continued to show her increasing shyness and desire to snuggle. When I say snuggle I mean she drops her head onto whatever person (or in this case dog) she wants to snuggle. There have been times that she has crawled over to me while I’m laying on the floor, she pulls herself up by my face and basically throws her head into my nose in her way of snuggling. It certainly melts a mommy’s heart even when my nose is stinging and eyes are watering from the sudden snuggle attack. Just this morning while we were all being lazy on the couch Viv was in a particularly snuggly mood and I think Ruby was just the softest of all the people (or not) on the couch.

In this picture you can tell from the motion blur that she was also smacking Ruby’s face. We are always impressed by how tolerant they are of each other. Vivienne will tug on Ruby’s face including sticking her fingers in Ruby’s poor eyes and Ruby has maybe twice now jumped over Vivienne while she is crawling and bumped into her, sending her face first into the floor! Neither of them seem to mind this. My favorite is when Vivienne tries to crawl underneath Ruby’s belly while she is standing. Viv is of course too big to fit underneath Ruby so they both get knocked over, but they do it over and over. Unfortunately I have no video.

And one more – Vivienne thought it was the funniest thing when one day after her nap we threw Ruby in the crib instead.

Vivienne is 10 months old!

Vivienne is growing so fast and she is loving her walker! As long as we keep redirecting her walker away from the wall or couch she could walk forever and laugh the whole time. Its very fun to watch

 

Happy Halloween!

Viv was dressed up for all of 10 minutes while we took pictures, then we put her in the bath and to bed, so she didn’t see too much of her first Halloween, but she was cute! We look forward to her getting older and being able to go out and do some Trick or Treating. Maybe next year. This year she went down for her normal early bedtime. Ruby on the other hand loved Halloween. She greeted every single trick or treater that came to our door all dressed up herself and they all loved her. She was in Puppy Heaven with each knock on the door.

 

It’s kinda hard to get a good family picture without someone there to take the picture for you…

Brita and Matt came over last Friday evening for some yummy Butternut squash soup, and Morgan and Matt carved our pumpkins. They did a lovely job. And a lovely job of patching the broken pieces :) (ignore the painters tape around the window…)

Viv has started this thing where whenever I pull out the camera to take a picture she looks at that camera with a huge grin and stops doing whatever cute thing I was trying to get a picture of and she crawls as fast as she can to grab the camera. It would be her new favorite toy if I ever let her get it :)

Today, Vivie is six months old!

I can’t believe it has been six months! We love our baby girl! She may be tiny for her age, but she is so observant and always on alert (which is frustrating at nap time…). She is just eager to be standing, grabbing the dog’s face, and of course putting whatever she can reach in her mouth (including the dog’s face if she could)! She has the best laugh I have ever heard!!! We have loved (pretty much) every minute thus far and we are so excited for the fun that is to come!

Vivienne’s blessing day

On April 14th all of our family members that live in Utah gathered at Morgan’s brother Jack’s house for Vivienne’s blessing. As always, it was fun to get everyone together and Vivie was being very cute… well she’s always cute. I’m really not good at remembering to take pictures, but we got a few. Mostly because Morgan took them :)

It was a good day, even though we would have loved to have had all of our family there!

You may have heard....

We had a baby! Since I am terrible at blogging (it has been a year since I last posted anything) I'm just going to post some pictures in chronological order for your viewing pleasure:

Baby girl!

And in no time (yeah right) I was 38 weeks pregnant

40 weeks and 1 day and I was no longer pregnant.

Wonderful women. We had the best experience! Adrienne (Midwife) was checking 

out baby and happily declared her perfectly healthy, and deceptively strong....

4 pounds and 15 ounces, 19 inches long. Perfect :)

We love our little Miss Vivie. She can be quite a handful on occasion, but its amazing to me how quickly I can calm my frustration just by looking at her sweet face and realizing I would do anything for this munchkin. She is almost 3 months old and I can't believe how fast the time has flown by.

That's it, I am now completely caught up! Which is good because I can't make any promises that it won't be another year before I blog again!
