You may have heard....

We had a baby! Since I am terrible at blogging (it has been a year since I last posted anything) I'm just going to post some pictures in chronological order for your viewing pleasure:

Baby girl!

And in no time (yeah right) I was 38 weeks pregnant

40 weeks and 1 day and I was no longer pregnant.
Morgan holding Viv right after she was born.

Vivie's first diaper. Morgan looks confused and I love how Vivie is pulling her cap down.

Our Midwife for the birth (one of the two at the Birth Center) and our Birth Assistant.
Wonderful women. We had the best experience! Adrienne (Midwife) was checking
out baby and happily declared her perfectly healthy, and deceptively strong....

4 pounds and 15 ounces, 19 inches long. Perfect :)

Look at that tiny foot print...

Don't I look lovely... Vivie is quite cute though

7 hours old and ready to go home!

We continued to be in Awe the following morning

Technically it was the day after her birthday, but oh well.

Vivienne, meet Ruby

First bath

White knuckles clutching her binky

Ruby is an excellent guard dog

Enjoying our first week with baby girl

Aunt Brita came to visit

Uncle Jack and family came to visit, and brought food!

Aunt Megan and cousin Tanner came for a visit

Grandma Susie came to town and we put her to work changing diapers

Aunt Cathy and cousins came to visit

Grandma Linda surprised us and ended up coming to town to meet Miss Vivie

Vivie met her cousins in Nephi

Red was the color of the day I guess...

Vivie and I getting ready for our first outing alone...
Don't we both look excited for a 30 min drive of crying?

Vivienne's baby shower cake, made by Elana's sister Maile.
It was so beautiful I only wished I'd got a better picture of it!

Ryan hogging baby Vivie. Maren is still pregnant...

Not anymore. Vivienne, meet cousin Stella (born 39 days after Vivie)

Instant friends.

Morgan's cousins had a get together which included 3 new babies
all born in December or January. We were happy Morgan's Uncle Mike
and Aunt Nancy were in town too

Vivie is always being cute...

Vivienne likes to stand up

So we figured she'd probably enjoy riding Ruby

All cozy in her car seat and thankfully asleep!

She's getting bigger and starting to show more signs of a smile

Viv is so darn cute even when she is keeping us up at night!

The wonderful swing that Vivienne actually has taken to falling asleep in!
We used to hardly be able to set her down for more than 5 minutes
before she'd start to cry... We love this swing.

Bath time!

Grandpa Dave came to town

And we took babies and dogs to City Creek

Pooped. Vivie loves her Daddy. And this rocking chair.

Vivie always does this BIG stretch. She does it
after waking up and after feeding. I love it :)

Pretty in Pink!

At cousin Macady's baptism

Ruby likes to get some snuggle action too

Vivienne likes to "chill" on the couch...
She looks like she's watching TV with Ruby

She also now loves to put her hands in her mouth

I can't help but think of Yoda when I look at this picture.
I don't know why, but it makes me laugh :)

My Cute girl!!!

After a trip to Park City Vivie now has new clothes for her upcoming trip to Kansas

She also sits up just enough for Morgan to balance her... which he likes to do a lot

New Easter Dress! She smiles a lot these days, this is the first time
I've really been able to catch a smile on camera

Love this face

Vivie's first time taking a bottle. I think she was slightly
confused about what was going on, but did alright.

He's such a good Daddy :)

Easter Sunday with Ruby. They're friends, but we try to keep Ruby's nose, tongue and
fur in general out of Vivie's mouth. Vivie doesn't seem to mind either way.

Falling over, but happy!

Vivie eating her shirt

Big smiles for Daddy!

The Girls

Tummy time!!!

We love our little Miss Vivie. She can be quite a handful on occasion, but its amazing to me how quickly I can calm my frustration just by looking at her sweet face and realizing I would do anything for this munchkin. She is almost 3 months old and I can't believe how fast the time has flown by.

That's it, I am now completely caught up! Which is good because I can't make any promises that it won't be another year before I blog again!

Our little poopy, Ruby

I am not good at blogging.
Our 1 year anniversary came, back on March 19th, and we were trying to decide what marvelous and exciting (within our budget) thing we could do, and with all the options during a snowy cold March we decided let's just get a puppy :). I don't want you to think we were rash, because we'd been thinking about it for a while. I had been pushing for a Great Dane, and Morgan in his heart of hearts wanted a pitbull. (I have to admit, they are pretty dogs, as are great danes....) So of course we had to meet in the middle and we decided on a Boston Terrier. Which is no where in the middle of the 2 other breeds, but we love our Ruby!

First of all, great breed. They don't get too big, but are still athletic enough we could take her out on our travels to the canyons and mountains and she'd be happy. They aren't really the barking type, unless you get her all riled up, then she may bark at you once or twice. AND, she's a super cute puppy. Here's the pictures! (in chronological order)

Sorry there are quite a few. 1) because I like visuals 2) we're making up for lost time

Frog legs

Puppy dog eyes for sure

Yeah, she's a funny sleeper... wherever she's sleeping

We took Ruby camping the weekend before Easter. One night we slept in the car because who pays $30 for a hard piece of ground, in Beaver, Utah, to set up a tent for 8 hours?

not the best picture of yours truly... but cute puppy

sneaky puppy...

Welcoming Ruby to the canyon lands (Bryce Canyon to be specific)

The waterfall really is that color by the way

Not so good at the leash thing

EVERYONE loved this puppy (not surprised!) We met people from all over the world who just wanted to pet her, take pictures with her, and even people who have Boston Terriers of their own and just wanted to share stories :)

sometimes she isn't in the snuggling mood and could care less if you want to take a picture

We also visited beautiful Boulder, Utah

Back Home. Ruby likes to have her belly rubbed

She DOESN'T like to be left alone... She makes disastrous messes when she has too much alone time....

She is getting big fast... and yes that is a kitchen scale

snuggler

wants to play

going to the park

Big Smiles :)

loves the sunshine

loves neck snuggling

loves her rawhide chew toys
